TIPS FOR TAKING THE STRESS OUT OF RENOVATING (PART 3)

The final installment in our “top tips for taking the stress out of renovating” blog is here! We have covered the importance of selecting a trustworthy and collaborative team, the long term cost effectiveness of feasibility studies to alleviate your financial pressure and we are going to finish up with a couple of tips to ensure your design dreams come to life.

1.     Reality check

We understand the allure of floor to ceiling windows flooding a largescale, open plan room with natural light, but sometimes you need to remember to work with what you have when renovating.

We work very closely with our clients to ensure we come up with realistic goals that still tick many of your dream design boxes. We even offer 3D project model displays to visually show you what we are capable of achieving.

2.     Visualisation

It is extremely important that you are able to visualize the important components of your exciting project, They say an image speaks a thousand words. Whether you can get visual clarity of your project through simple floorplan drawings or require a more advanced 3D model with VR walkthrough option, it is important to have these visuals drafted and included in a projects scope to avoid disappointment, delays and added cost down the track.

If not included in the initial design package, people may choose to skip this step in the interest of budget. In fact, this choice has the potential to end up costing you a lot more money or leave you with expectations that have not been met. Detailed drawings and 3D models that are understood by you, the client and signed off on, ensure smooth communication and accountability to your builder, designer and sub-contractors. It ensures everyone has a clear understanding of the project and what is expected of them to guarantee the delivery of your dream home.
